Hey, mod(s?)! First off, I'd just like to day I think this meme has been a long time coming and I appreciate the initiative and effort you're putting in here! Thank you for your hard work, both now and going forward! :)

Second, a question regarding the M/F rule: what's the stance on M/F content in which one or more of the characters is trans? While I understand the spirit and background behind the "no M/F" rule, and am in no way attempting to imply that trans men and women are not equally valid in their identities as cis, I do still have some concerns in this area.

For example: although, say, a Danse/Piper fic would be technically M/F, I doubt a fic featuring trans!Danse would be welcome on a predominately straight kmeme. Just as I doubt a straight F!Sole/Hancock prompter would be happy with a fill featuring trans!Hancock, or an M!Sole/Piper prompter would be happy with a trans!Piper.

(For my own clarification: Is this meme a stand-alone meme? Or is it meant as an alternative to...the other meme... Here I go assuming again.)

(Although feel free to not answer that, for obvious reasons.)

This is a tricky issue and I'm sure you've likely already considered it at some level. Being that this is a fresh new meme with all of the kinks (ha!) still being ironed out, I was just curious as to the specifics of this matter, if there currently are any.

Hey there! Thanks for the questions, and apologies about things being unclear (words, words, words, indeed!).

This meme is stand-alone and unaffiliated with the FKM, but it was made as an response to the other meme's hostile culture towards LGBT fills. Fills don't need to involve same-gender pairings, but writing gay and trans characters even doing mundane things is easier when you know that the majority of the audience isn't straight cis fans who will screw up their noses at it.

Straight trans fills are a bit of a tricky issue, but because this place was made as an escape from het pairings and the people that champion for them, M/F involving a trans character is unfortunately not a great fit. Post character studies and casefic and coffee shop AUs and all kinds of things about trans Danse here, sure, but if he starts getting close with Piper, maybe consider posting that particular fic on AO3 or Tumblr.

Apologies if this is posted somewhere and I missed it, but I was wondering what the policy on autofills will be around here. I encourage multi-fills whenever I post an autofill prompt but I know other memes don't always condone auto-filling, so I thought I'd check to make sure.

Just a quick question. Say a character does have canon het relationship in their background like (unfortunately) the sole survivor. Is it alright to mention that relationship in passing (ie. m!sole survivor realizing he's in love with codsworth, and he realizes how different it was than with his dead wife or something).

Until we get more traffic/fills to make it worth a pinboard, maybe we could get a "Filled prompts" post? Just somewhere people can drop a link to their fill, instead of tracking the prompts post/flatview/etc for new fills, especially once we get a few pages and it'll be more to sort through?

i read a lot above, and i don't think i saw a specific answer to this (sorry if there is)
i'm trans (+bi but i'll get to that question later) and i love the creation of this meme, but the no m/f thing makes me a little hesitant. I write a lot of fills that IS m/m but (if you think of it this way) m/f genitalia. I hope that makes sense?

so im a fan of a transman sole survivor/maccready + other boys and some of the kink I write they aren't transitioned. is that not allowed here? be considered het because of the different parts? i just wasn't sure it's gay by definition, but i suppose on the biological side it could how the mods here would view such a thing.

also, i really like writing threesomes + orgies with multiple genders present. is that not allowed here either?

So, I am new to kinkmemes and have tried to follow through the things that happened in the old meme, but I am still lacking a lot of information.
Could you please update me on what exactly happened? Because I wonder what forced you to separate from het? I imagine that it has to be something really bad that happened, which makes me feel sorry.
So, about myself, I am het and do not mean any harm to you. There is another new kinkmeme aswell, that tries to go with open prompts, but has the problem that slash and femslash prompters are literally starving. Is this meme doing better?
They are currently discussing the issue and one anon had the idea to do a fusion between the two of you, or to work together. So, I guess, I just wanted to inform you about the idea, in case that this could be an option for you guys.
